I warmly welcome another family joining the ranks of our loyal clients with their baby girl photoshoot, mesmerizing me with some of the biggest eyes!
I’ve met Anna and Alex just about 1.5 years ago and look what we’ve done already! It might be a coincidence but they were referred to me by another special client who earned her loyal VIP status. Things for these guys progressed quickly and actively: I shot their engagement session, a month later–their supercharged wedding, then (don’t bother counting the months) her poetic maternity session, and look what a beautiful creature charmes this baby girl photoshoot! Today is her first birthday so this photo session followed the tradition of many families having professional baby photography done for their child’s first birthday.
A quick side note: some of my clients who went through edgy and adventurous shoots suspect that I might be bored to work with babies and family-oriented sessions. Quite the opposite! Although I welcome unconventional families and look for out-of-the-box techniques for the baby photography, I cheerfully do normal cute shoots which are in fact needed more often than Zorz Studios’ hallmark once-in-a-lifetime crazy adventures. If you think, it is only easier for me to do, have a look and giggle! Aaaaand, with a gradually increasing sweet discount for the returning clients, I show my appreciation to the loyal clients who take me through the many stages.
Now, baby Isabelle indeed has some big eyes, don’t you find? And they are so beautiful! This long baby girl photoshoot lasted half a day–not a typical approach with babies for understandable reasons. However, with some breaks in between the sets we managed to cover a good deal of activities and looks. Started with an old-fashioned bare butt series, then crib-n-pajama, then dressy, and then came time for feeding. Hey, that’s an opportunity! Having a carte blanche for the upcoming smash-the-cake gig, I pushed for a messy scenario. Re-energized and refilled, baby girl was ready from more play and then the hit of the photoshoot, smashing the cake!
Although this was my first ever smash-the-cake, I did not want to give it a lot of time in favor of other ideas. I can see how this popular merriment could be developed into something even grander… with some creative thinking, and I am willing to offer it to the next client focused on the smash-the-cake idea.
For Isabelle, an obviously even merrier activity came, the bath time! Washing babies in a kitchen sink is the best, I’m telling you. I couldn’t stop laughing at her faces and action. Attempting to grab the faucet’s water stream and that confusion on her face about failing were just too much. The concluding drying up and cuddling with mom and dad served as a relaxing wrap up of the baby girl photoshoot, preparing the baby for the well-deserved sleep. Happy first birthday, baby girl!
